Let me re-introduce myself, my name is.. my name is..
Name that song.
Anyways. I am unsure what it is but I “started” this website a year ago to the date and never did anything with it, and I just got the urge to restart this. So let’s see if I actually keep up with it this time. That being said I feel like a reintroduction post is needed as a lot changes in a year.
Perhaps the most exciting change was that I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Millicent Willow. She is just the absolute best baby. She laughs all the time, cries really only when she needs something, and is just an overall easy baby (Does make me a bit nervous for when we have another baby, but let’s just cross that bridge when and if we get there).
She’s 8 months old the day I am writing this and is cutting her two front bottom teeth. She is the light of my world and I have completely fallen in love with being a mother.
Dixxie, our golden retriever, is very good around her and I’m sure once Milli is old enough to give her back the attention she has stolen from her, they will be the best of friends.
Honey, our rescue barn kitty, just kinda ignores Milli and does like to tease her by getting just out of reach of her. Maybe once Milli can gently pet her instead of just grabbing her fur they will get on better, but I’m not holding my breath.
I did end up finally changing my last name to my husbands. Nothing like a 3 year procrastination for the win.
I am currently working part-time and am so unbelievably thankful for my mother who babysits for me.
As for this blog
I’m really just looking for a place to jot my thoughts/feelings. I’m actually pretty terrible at documenting my life (not like anyone cares that much) and I do enjoy writing and reading so why not.
I really need to get my life in-order. After having Milli, I’ve kinda let things go and need to catch up, re-organize, and get into a routine. So you can expect some posts about those coming your way. Along with my favorite baby products, house projects, and anything else I’m loving or hating.
Like i’ve said before:
I don’t claim to know everything or be an expert in any field. I make many mistakes and it sometimes feels like I get more things wrong than right. But I love trying new things, perfecting old habits, and just breathing through the hard stuff
